Lines evaluation

we were set with the task of exploring the college in search of different examples of lines within the environment. I found this task to be quite successful as i was able to find many examples of lines around the college. I was able to take a wide range of photos with a good amount of variation between the different ways in which i showed examples of lines in the environment. These examples included lines in shadow, building structure and plant life. Once i took the pictures i created a contact sheet of my photos and edited four of the best photos out of the collection.

I selected these two photos because i wanted to show colour in both nature and in a modern environments. The first picture shows a tree that i decided to get a close up on in order to show the complicated and vast pattern of the bark. I like this image because it is very detailed and is only focused on the lines on the tree as it blurs out the background. The second image is a complete opposite as it is very simplistic, showing bold lines with strong colour tones that make this photo interesting.

Progression:

Although i found this task to be successful, if i could change anything i would swap out some images that may seem either slightly repeated or dull in colour with a couple of new examples that express different examples of lines in a more exciting way. This topic has caused me to focus more on the individual details of an image and I am able to use my knowledge of this subject to capture more detail.
