Mid-project evaluation
When i first began the course, it took me a while to understand the different requirements of what we were asked to do since i had not done photography at GCSE, meaning that i was at disadvantage with tools such as photoshop. From the basics of photoshop, to the frequent use of blogger, everything was a surprise to me. The work amount seemed large to me and i would find the work amount difficult to achieve while i was still adjusting to all of these new features and work types. I slowly began to adjust to the work load over the first few weeks and began more confident with my ability to maintain the work amount. I made a share of minor mistakes with the blog work while adjusting but i used them as a learning curve that improved the quality of my work. i enjoyed taking my own photos and then finding new and interesting ways to edit them on photoshop, i feel more comfortable with photoshop now that have been able to use it frequently and i am now able to achieve the results that i want. I found all of the projects to be interesting in some way or another. Tone has become my favourite subject to capture in the environment, as i am able to use the black and white filter with the combination of photoshop to create interesting final results. The main struggle that i had with the projects at the beginning, were to do with the quantity of images that i was able to capture. This was due, largely to the fact that i had to share a camera for the first few weeks but as people began to bring in their own cameras, i was able to capture a larger and more diverse selection of images.
I am now comfortable with all of the tools and websites that i am being asked to use. The work amount has become manageable to an extent as i am familiar with every aspect of both blogger and photoshop that we are required to use at this moment in time. If I have any trouble with work in the future i will be sure to seek assistance so i am able to understand and compete the work to a good standard.
